Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the initial important honor of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of remaining longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the fastest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five divisions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.
Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would react after ending his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
