Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
